Central Indiana Writers\u2019 Association<\/mark><\/strong>, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1976, is a community of novelists, poets, and essayists writing in all genres. We come together once a month via Zoom (details below) to provide our members with a range of workshops, writing tools, and support. Everyone is welcome! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(And while CIWA encourages every writer to continue writing, we don’t support any form of pornography, erotica, or BDSM writing. There are writing groups for such genres elsewhere.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This class examines different approaches to the practice of journaling. Beyond its benefits to mindset and perspective, journaling can be a tool for an author’s practice.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Leah McNaughton Lederman<\/strong>\u00a0has created two volumes of\u00a0Caf\u00e9 Macabre: A Collection of Horror Stories and Art by Women<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(SourcePoint Press, 2019; 2021) and her own short story collection:\u00a0A Novel of Shorts: The Woman No One Sees<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(2020). Her\u00a0creative nonfiction<\/strong>\u00a0has been published in\u00a0The River and South Review, The Wrath-Bearing Tree,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Defenestration Mag<\/em>, and she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her essay\u00a0\u201cMy Bleeding Heart\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0in the online anthology,\u00a0What is and What Will Be: Life in the Time of COVID<\/em>.\u00a0In 2022, Leah published\u00a0Beautifully Broken: The Katy Hayes Story<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>about her cousin\u2019s journey as a quadruple amputee. Leah leads the Greenfield Writers group at the Hancock County Public Library and is the founder and facilitator of the Indiana Writer\u2019s Center monthly online CNF group. She is also the director of the Midwest Writers Workshop. Leah is active in the Hancock County community where she lives with her husband and an assortment of children, cats, and dogs.s of any kind. Stories of people falling in love nourish her soul.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
